6. Natural adhesive usage & simple collage building.

Materials Needed & Reasons for Use:

• Natural Earth Paint: Provides rich, non-toxic pigments; teaches color theory and mixing techniques; safe for all ages.

• Paint brushes (round, flat, detail): Allows students to practice stroke control, create texture, and explore different painting effects.

• Natural adhesive (plant-based or non-toxic paste): Safe bonding for paper and collage materials; encourages mindful assembly without harsh chemicals.

• Markers (washable + fine tip): Ideal for bold outlines, lettering, adding details, and experimenting with line variation.

• Colored pencils: Great for shading, blending, small details, and quiet-focus work; introduces pressure control.

 • Mixed-media paper or cardstock: Strong enough to handle paint, adhesive, and layered materials without warping.

• Crafting Apron: Promotes cleanliness, safety, and responsibility during art activities.

Assessment / Outcomes: Students successfully mix a secondary color, demonstrate basic brush techniques, use natural adhesive appropriately, and create a small mixed-media artwork showing understanding of at least two tools.

Suggested Age Range: Ages vary by project. Adult supervision is recommended for younger children. All materials are non-toxic but should be used properly.
